Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Stemplitude Inc. when using our platform.
Effective May 30, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Stemplitude platform, website, labs, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Stemplitude Inc. ("Stemplitude," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, enrolling a learner, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a school, tutoring center, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Stemplitude is designed for learners, parents, guardians, educators, and program administrators. Accounts for children under 13 must be created or authorized by a parent, guardian, or authorized educator in compliance with applicable child privacy laws.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at info@stemplitude.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
- Harass, bully, or expose minors to inappropriate content
- Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or access controls
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the Service without permission
- Upload malware or content that infringes third-party rights
We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or poses risk to learners, staff, or platform integrity.
4. Content and intellectual property
Stemplitude retains ownership of the platform, curriculum templates, lab tooling, branding, and other materials we provide. Learners and instructors retain ownership of original projects they create, subject to the license below.
By publishing work to Explore or other public surfaces, you grant Stemplitude a non-exclusive license to host, display, and promote that work for educational and marketing purposes. You can unpublish or request removal where product features allow.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans, trials, and member billing are described at checkout and in your organization settings. Fees are billed according to the plan you select. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. You may cancel renewal according to in-product billing controls.
6. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. For student data erasure and privacy controls, see the documentation for parents and administrators.
7. Third-party services and integrations
Stemplitude may integrate with optional third-party services including Google (Calendar and Meet), YouTube, Microsoft (Outlook and Teams), Zoom, Stripe, and email or infrastructure providers. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
When you connect an integration, you authorize Stemplitude to access and use data from that service only as needed to provide the features you enable (for example, creating a virtual class meeting link or syncing a calendar event). You can disconnect integrations at any time from Settings → Integrations.
Stemplitude is not responsible for the availability, security, or practices of third-party services. Content embedded from YouTube or other providers (including videos selected for lessons) remains subject to the provider's terms. Organizations are responsible for ensuring their use of third-party tools complies with applicable laws and institutional policies, including rules for minors participating in live video sessions.
Our use of Google user data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Stemplitude does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free labs, or specific learning outcomes. Hands-on activities may require adult supervision depending on the learner's age and equipment used.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stemplitude and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
